峇都茅(Batu Maung)开始安装承台(pile Cap)和墩台(Pier) 1.* 中国港湾公司开始安装承台和墩台，同时已打入近2700根桩，海上工程进展相信已超过50%。
2.* 槟城第二大桥工程需要打约5000根桩，平均每个月必须打入超过100根桩。
3.* 一旦完工之后，马友乃德(UEM Group)即可开始展开工程进展。
4.* 槟城第二大桥需要安装大约接近300个承台。由于槟城第二大桥的承台和墩台是安装在海面上，所以人民是无法在陆地上看到工程进行，唯有在海上进行活动的渔民才能亲眼目睹第二大桥的新工程进展。
5.* 马友乃德在峇都加湾(Batu Kawan)的桥梁桥身铸(Casting)造工厂，每个月需要生产336个箱梁 (Segmental box girdle)。槟城第二大桥共需要8100箱梁。
6.* 城第二大桥工程共分为4个阶段进行，
- 第1阶段是：制造靠近峇都茅的引桥、主桥东侧高墩区及主桥，需耗时接近3年半的时间 (construction of the sub-structure such as piling and the building of pile caps, columns and the navigation span by CHEC Construction Sdn Bhd (the local arm of China Harbour Engineering Co Ltd))；
- 第2阶段：衔接高墩区部份，需耗时逾2年的时间 (casting of the segmental box girdle by UEM Builders Bhd)；
- 第3阶段是峇都加湾处引桥，需要31个月的时间 (construction of the Batu Kawan and Batu Maung exit and entry points and trumpet interchange by Cergas Murni, IJM Construction and HRA Teguh)。
- 而第4阶段: 第4个阶段为收费站暂时还未确定承包商。
7.* 林冠英当时提及，据第二桥有限公司汇报，槟城第二大桥工程从原本的2012年12月展延至2013年9月才竣工，共有6个因素所致，包括测试槟城第二桥的撞击力、地震后测试、挖深海床、二桥承接问题、确保中国港湾有限公司及马友乃德双方的整合工作及施工行道阻碍。
8.* 槟城第二大桥全长约23.5公里，为东南亚最长大桥，备有海运桥、高速大道、交流道、收费站及休息站。第二大桥的建材可兴建8座光大，或者45座具国际水平的足球场。
